Dried Split Ginger

Dried Split Ginger is a flowering plant whose rhizome, ginger root or simply ginger, is widely used as a spice or a folk medicine and has been used as a natural medicine for thousands of years across several cultures. The main producers of Ginger worldwide are China, India and Nigeria, with countries like Peru, Myanmar and Thailand also having smaller cultivations. Robust International has state of the art infrastructure for cleaning and processing Dried Ginger in order to provide our clients with the best quality available directly from the farmgate.

As Ginger is a product very sensitive to quality, the goods procured go through a very careful process of sieving, magnet cleaning as well as multiple hand picking and sun drying sessions in order to maintain their quality for shipment to our clients worldwide. We also offer Organic Ginger that complies to FDA and EU regulations on pesticides and Aflatoxins/Ochratoxins.

Dried Whole Ginger

Dried Whole Ginger is the whole form of the ginger root. Its properties are very similar to Split Ginger although their practical applications differ slightly. Extractors who use ginger for oleoresin extraction for example, get better yields from Whole Ginger as opposed to Split Ginger. Moreover, split ginger is considered a value-added product and hence the market rates are accordingly significantly higher compared to Whole Ginger, whose rates are generally much more competitive.

Whole Turmeric Fingers

Turmeric, a plant in the ginger family, is native to South Asia and has been cultivated for centuries across the Indian subcontinent. Its rhizome (underground stem) is widely used as a culinary spice and traditional Ayurvedic medicine. In recent years, turmeric has gained global popularity as a dietary supplement for conditions including arthritis, digestive issues, respiratory infections, allergies, liver disorders, and depression.

Turmeric is a staple spice in Indian cuisine and a key ingredient in curry powders and masalas. The active compound curcumin is responsible for turmeric’s deep yellow color and many of its health-promoting properties. Curcumin content varies depending on the region and variety of the turmeric grown.

We primarily offer Whole Turmeric Fingers sourced from major turmeric-producing states in India, such as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Our procurement focuses on high-curcumin varieties suited for both culinary and nutraceutical applications.

Varieties Offered:

Salem (Tamil Nadu) – 3.5%–5% Curcumin
Bright yellow color, widely used in spice powders and food processing. Known for its aroma and smooth texture.

Rajapuri (Maharashtra) – 4%–5% Curcumin
Bulky fingers with good color retention; often used in both domestic and export markets.

Alleppey (Kerala) – 4%–5% Curcumin
Traditionally known for its oil content and suitability for extraction.

We ensure the turmeric is carefully cleaned, sun-dried, and sorted to meet international quality standards, including optional organic-certified lots that comply with FDA and EU pesticide and contaminant regulations.

Dried Split Turmeric

Dried Split Turmeric is the dried rhizome of the Curcuma longa plant, widely revered for its culinary, medicinal, and dyeing properties. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine systems and remains a staple ingredient in spice blends and health supplements globally. Nigeria is one of the emerging producers of turmeric, with growing exports to Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

Robust International sources its Dried Turmeric directly from farming communities across Nigeria and processes it through our state-of-the-art facilities designed to preserve purity, color, and curcumin content. The turmeric is carefully sliced, sun-dried, and meticulously hand picked to remove foreign matter and impurities. Our drying methods are optimized to retain the vibrant golden-orange hue and pungent aroma characteristic of high-quality turmeric.

Given turmeric’s sensitivity to moisture and contaminants, every batch is quality-checked to meet international standards. We also offer Organic Turmeric that is compliant with FDA and EU regulations on pesticide residues, Aflatoxins, and Ochratoxins.

Varieties Offered:

ASTA Quality (American Spice Trade Association standard):
High curcumin content, bright color, low moisture, minimal defects and foreign matter — suitable for premium markets and spice processors.

FAQ (Fair Average Quality):
Suitable for general spice trade and industrial use; moderate curcumin levels and acceptable physical appearance per industry norms.
